Equipment Rentals Are Now Open

JANUARY 2021 UPDATE: After carefully assessing the decrease in COVID-19 in Nova Scotia, we are assuming rentals with the following procedures:

CFAT’s COVID-19 Equipment Rental Policy

Staff will be available onsite Thursdays 10am - 6pm and Fridays 10am - 5pm

All bookings will be 1 week long, from Friday - Thursday. Booking charge will be for 2 days (normally a week is billed at 3 days).

Suites

● At this time CFAT’s edit suites will remain closed except for potential programmatic use or exceptional circumstances. We will continue to update our members as this changes.

Equipment Pick-Up - FRIDAYS 10am - 5pm

● Equipment rentals will be booked in advance. Pick-ups will be scheduled in 30 minute time slots.

● Rental pick-ups will be by appointment only. No walk-ins.

● Front door will be locked. When you arrive, you can knock, ring our doorbell or call us at 902-422-6822.

● We recommend wearing a mask if you are able to do so.

● CFAT staff will be wearing masks and gloves.

● At this time we will not be able to do any gear demos, set-ups or camera tests.

● Payment can be made online via Quickbooks (for credit card) (or credit/debit in the office at the time of return). We will not be able to accept cash.

● Rental sheets will be signed online or at time of pickup, outside at the designated clipboard area.

● CFAT's office will remain closed and all pickups will be done outside of our front door. No one other than CFAT staff is permitted to enter the building at this time.

Equipment Drop-offs - THURSDAYS 1pm - 6pm

● Equipment drop offs will be scheduled in half hour time slots at the time of your rental pickup.

● We recommend wearing a mask if you are able to do so.

● CFAT staff will be wearing masks and gloves.

● Once you arrive at CFAT with your rental returns, you may knock, ring our doorbell or call us to ensure that a staff member is there.

Safety

● CFAT staff will wear gloves at all times when handling the equipment and will wear a mask when interacting with members.

● Returned equipment will be place under a hospital grade disinfecting UV light, and then sanitized before staff process the return and rent it out again

● Renters will be required to review CFAT’s new COVID-19 rental agreement addendum that specifies that they agree to adhere to all provincial health and safety guidelines related to their production (social distancing etc.).

● If renters are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 or have any known exposure to the virus before their booking they will be asked to cancel their booking at no charge. If symptoms or known exposure take place during the renal period they will be asked to inform CFAT as soon as possible via email: production@cfat.ca
