THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CENTRE FOR ART TAPES IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE OUR NEW SUMMER PROGRAM ASSISTANT, YALITSA RIDEN!
Yalitsa Riden came to Halifax in the fall of 2012 to pursue her artistic studies at NSCAD University, where she is currently enrolled in the Film Program, beginning her third year this Fall.
Yalitsa is focused on community engagement and recognizes the importance of having a vibrant and inclusive arts community. She volunteers with a variety of organizations such as AFCOOP, Halifax Music Co-op, and is currently on this year’s Board of Nocturne, holding the position of Sponsorship Director. Her love of the arts also goes hand in hand with her student and political advocacy where she represents the NSCAD Student Union as the Deputy Chair for The Canadian Federation of Students. Her goals lie in connecting students with local organizations throughout the city and promoting increased provincial funding for the arts.
Yalitsa is excited to join the CFAT Team and delighted to be part of such a wonderful organization.
