Job Call: Electronics Lab Setup Technician

The Centre for Art Tapes is looking for an enthusiastic and organized individual to unpack and set-up the CFAT Electronics Lab, and organize the space to facilitate the use of basic and specialized electronics production equipment (soldering stations, test equipment). The goal of this contract is to create a functional and pleasant working environment for the CFAT Membership and the DIY electronics-maker community, and to support CFAT Media Art Scholars and other users.

This contract is for 100 hours, for a total of $1500. Contract begins immediately; working hours are flexible.

The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with basic electronic circuits, soldering, and electrical testing. The Lab Setup Technician should be well organized. Computer programming (including Arduino/Processing) is an asset.

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: 19 October 2013 at 5 p.m.

This contract may lead to an offer for a part-time position at the Centre for Art Tapes.
