Call for Volunteers to join CFAT Committees!

CFAT is up and running in its new, custom-designed space and is looking for volunteers to join a committee to help propel CFAT into its next phase! As members, you are committed to seeing CFAT succeed and we need your invaluable input and creative ideas. Being involved in a committee is a great way to help shape the organization, gain experience in artist-run-centres and support the organization that supports your artistic endeavours!

Please consider joining any of the following committees:

Programming

The Programming Committee, along with CFAT staff, meet to discuss future curatorial projects and programming at the Centre. It provides a holistic view of the programs screened, exhibited and commissioned. The Centre’s programming mandate is to bring together ideas that are presented within CFAT’s educational and/or production programs, and to compliment the activities with a conceptual and critical vision.

Time Commitment: 2 hour, bi-monthly meetings and participation in events.

The next meeting: April 2nd at 6pm at CFAT

Outreach and Member Engagement

The purpose of the Outreach Committee is to raise interest in CFAT and develop opportunities for artists, both established and emerging, community members, and groups, to access and benefit from the CFAT facilities and its programs. The committee will devise strategies (such as workshops and presentations) and partnerships to engage the current CFAT membership and attempt to broaden its membership to include new arts-based users.

Time Commitment: 2 hour, bi-monthly meetings and participation in events.

The next meeting will be Monday, April 7th at 5:30 pm at CFAT
